This place is a very good attraction, but not a very good museum. They don't have enough artifacts, and the ones they do have displayed have "only 1 of X in the world, valued at $Y" signage, which was somewhat jarring. (This isn't the only museum I've visited on this trip where the artifacts have been for sale, so I suspect it's a Branson thing.) If you can overlook that, the rest of the info on the signage is interesting. There's just not enough of it. They did have a cool video about the making of the Titanic and Olympic, which included photographs of both ships as they were being built. And a few hands-on displays that I thought were a nice touch, such as one that allowed you to stand on the deck as it tilted, and one to see how long you could tolerate keeping your hands in freezing water. The general theming and aesthetics are great! All the employees were wearing period-appropriate outfits, the ticket you receive on the way in is a fake boarding pass, and they recreated one of the grand staircases inside. They even had a man playing the piano in real time for mood music. Overall, a fun experience, but it doesn't really feel like a museum.
Very interesting and awesome experience. Definitely worth the cost of it. It is amazing to see what it took to build to the lives that were sacrificed and the stories of the people involved. Very neat, the kids enjoyed it but it's the adults that knkw about the Titanic that would enjoy it the most in my opinion. But still good for the family
Wonderful and informative. Covers so many aspects of the Titanic story, both technical and human. A good balance between dense information, real artifacts, and interactive replica exhibits. You could spend hours in here Do be aware that photos are only allowed on 2nd floor and extensive photo time on the grand staircase isn't possible when crowded.
Let’s face it. You’re in Branson for a reason or reading this review getting ready for that trip. 😀 This is a well designed museum/attraction. Even if not a fan of the movie, it’s a somber reminder of what happened on that fateful voyage. Some cool exhibits to experience some of the conditions they had to endure, and some introspective testimonials. Takes about an hour and change to cruise through, and plenty of discount tickets available through the guides. Recommend going at least once if you haven’t been.
For a smaller scale attraction they had it all! The family had a great time learning new pieces of information, seeing artifacts and real photos of history. Getting a ticket as a real passenger was a great touch. Sitting in the life boat was eye opening, I never considered how large it was and it's capacity to hold so many people. We have been learning so much more about Titanic since this experience, it's been a great family discussion for days now.
